Prayer Points for this Month (February 2024)

Policy, Advocacy & Research
WEEK 1 February 1-10, 2024

  1. We thank God for Santha Oorjitham’s six years of dedicated service with Malaysian CARE. Pray for God’s presence to be with her and her family as she embarks on a new and exciting journey.

  2. Pray for the Policy, Advocacy & Research team members to be able to function effectively in facilitating advocacy strategies in CARE’s various departments and receiving new insights in areas of service that require advocacy and research.

  3. We thank God for the successful formation of the Christian Prison Network pro-tem committee and election of office-bearers. Pray that members will be able to support and empower each other in prison ministry.\

  4. Pray for all co-advocacy efforts between churches and CARE in HIV ministries. Pray for wisdom, unity and resourcefulness as we plan alongside in year 2024 to promote a loving community for People Living with HIV.

  5. Pray for the YouTurn Project to gain more awareness and acceptance in churches, that it could lead to opportunities for ex-prisoners to reintegrate into society.

Communications
WEEK 2 February 11-21, 2024

  1. Pray for the smooth coordination of engagements in the coming year. We also covet your prayers for the launch of the “Why Care?” devotional compilation.

  2. Pray for the opportunity to connect with more universities/colleges to further promote our internship programme.

  3. Pray for the roll-out of a recurring payment feature on our website; may it be an opportunity to build longer-term commitments with our donors.

  4. Pray for wisdom in discovering more innovative ways to promote the ministry of Malaysian CARE through its website and other social media tools. 

  5. Pray for the open positions that have yet to be filled within the department. Pray for God’s will to be done and for the right candidates to come in.

PC Raub
WEEK 3 February 22-29, 2024

  1. Pray for Kursus Kewangan Inklusif (KKI) at Kg Ruai and Kg Tual which will end this year. Pray that the certificate presentation ceremony will run smoothly. We hope that KKI will bring many benefits to the community’s economy.

  2. Pray for a good working relationship between Pusat CARE Raub and the Pastors, community and the Tok Batin so that the communities can be served effectively.

  3. Pray for doors to open in Kampung Labu to run KKI.

  4. Pray for the safety of Pusat Raub staff entering and leaving villages in Kuala Lipis and Raub. Additionally, every month, we go into the Orang Asli villages in Slim River. Pray for the Lord’s protection.

  5. Pray for the road construction project from Pos Tenau to Pos Sinderut. This road, a government project, will ease the lives of the villagers and improve their economy. Pray that the government provides fair compensation to farmers who have lost their farms and will not take away the rights of the villagers.
